If you are interested in starting this program at your school or organization, contact us and we will find the right specialist for you.

This program is a unique course that gives students the skills they need to succeed in life. We find early childhood specialists who deliver a play-based syllabus centered around character traits most sought and admired in leaders: initiative, honesty, self-control, adaptability, empathy, persuasiveness, resourcefulness, diligence, tolerance, determination, generosity, punctuality, courage, reliability, endurance, deference, creativity and integrity.

This ethics-centered program utilizes a play-based method to encourage students to explore and apply soft skills in their daily lives. While cultivating the skills they will need to build strong, successful relationships, they will learn how to find their voice and showcase themselves in the best way. Students will learn to communicate and negotiate so they can be better team leaders and team players. Students will learn how to deal with situations they encounter in life, such as bullying, cheating, conflicts between two or more parties, and more. The inculcation of these values in our children's formative years will ensure they grow to become the leaders so sought after by our burgeoning society.

Magic Words

Hello! May I... Please! Thank you! Excuse me! I'm sorry. Goodbye! All of these and more are magic words that turn frowns into smiles!

Through a fun story, games and role play children learn the importance of the 'magic words' and where to use them.

Empathy-What is it, and why do we need it?

There are many different ways to show and discover empathy. Studies around the world have shown that empathy is built into our chemical make up. The ability to empathize is essential not only in our business relationships, but our interpersonal ones as well. This class allows children to examine what empathy is, why it is important and the many ways of expressing it.

Introducing ourselves to new people.

Meeting new people can be scary sometimes, and maybe a little confusing. Through role play, games and discussion, children learn to introduce themselves with ease.

Expressing Ourselves

"What is the difference between "I WANT" and "I would like to..."? What is the difference between "Give me.." and "I would like?" What is the difference between a 'big voice' and a 'little voice' and when do you use them?

Children don't always understand how to express the full range of emotions they feel. Through games, demonstration and role play children learn how to express themselves calmly and effectively.

Hygiene

Why is it important to cover our coughs and sneezes? What do we do before we eat and after the restroom? Why use a tissue? What is the reason for keeping our fingers out of our mouth and hair?

Though parents may remind young children of these basic skills at home, children at school and adults on subways and in streets do not always abide by them. Through demonstration and reenactment children learn and practice good hygiene skills.

Making New friends

Through role playing, games and discussion, children learn how to begin a new friendship-and set an example for others! These skills further a child's ability to build relationships and take initiative.

Starting and holding a conversation with 'Active listening'

Starting and holding a conversation is easy and fun! We learn so much about each other just by speaking and listening actively. Through role playing, games and discussion, children learn to inquire, listen actively, and respond accordingly. These skills are the first building blocks to improve focus and learn when to take initiative.

Sharing is Caring!

Everyone loves playing with toys and games! More importantly, everyone loves playing with a friend that shares!

Through demonstration, role play and games, children learn how to take turns and share. They also learn to respect things people may not wish to share.

Dealing with Conflict

Conflict between children is inevitable. However, a fight does not have to be. Through discussion, demonstration, role play and games children will learn how to address conflict calmly and negotiate peacefully.

Basic Table Manners

Meal time is a great time to discuss your day and spend quality time with your children while you prep them for more serious dining engagements later in life. Through role playing, games and discussion, students learn what to do at the table during meal time. (Note: this class is not always available if students have allergies).

Out and About

Manners are important at the Doctors office, on the street, at a library, at market, in the museum...just about everywhere!

Different places have different rules. Some are specific to children, and some are for everyone. Through games, discussion and role play children learn what is and isn't acceptable out and about and how to stay safe in any public place.

Permission, boundaries and privacy

Children are naturally curious and are filled with energy. Through games, storytelling and role play students learn to ask permission to touch things that aren't theirs, how to approach someone and properly express affection for them and the best way to handle curiosity.

Soft skills for play dates, sleepovers and more.

Though parents will usually agree beforehand on rules and dietary restrictions for both (or all) children, kids will not always understand why one thing is alright for a period of time at home but not alright at their friends' house. As they grow they will be invited to friends for extended periods of time, for which there is a different but similar skill set. Through games, discussion and role play, children learn how to be good houseguests and playmates.

Soft skills in the classroom

Through discussion and role play children learn the proper way to gain attention, voice their questions and concerns, settle classroom conflict and more.

On the go-trains, busses, ferrys, planes and cars

Through discussion, games and role play children learn the proper travel etiquette. This will prepare them for the days when they will need to travel on their own.

Soft skills for phone time

Phone skills are imperative in most adults lives. The phone is important for networking and building relationships, so introducing children to phone etiquette early is a great way to allow them to practice active listening and the art of conversation. Through role play, games and demonstration children learn what to do while on a call.

Helping Mom and Dad  around the house

There are many things little ones can do around the house to help out. Children love doing things that adults do, and they love establishing their own routines in their own space. By helping their parents and siblings out, they learn the importance of skills they will use later in life.

Through discussion, games and role play, children learn the value of cleaning up after themselves and the joy of helping Mom and Dad out around the house.

Everyday Manners

Sometimes it's the little things that count! Like not saying "YUCK!" Even when a child may want to. Sometimes it's just about cleaning up a mess if they make a spill! Sometimes it means SO MUCH to grandma that their grandchild called to say 'Thank you' for the doll! All these and more are covered in our everyday manners.
